Praise

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord" (Psalm 150:6).

Praise gives glory to God and opens us up to a deeper union with Him. Regardless of what life throws you, praising God turns our attention off of our problems and on the nature and character of God Himself.

I can completely identify with this reason for praising God Almighty. No matter what I have going on in my life, which lately seems to be quite a bit, I always find focus when I take the time to talk to and praise God. It puts things into perspective when I’m speaking to my creator and giving thanks for all that he has done for me. He deserves a tremendous about of my admiration and worship.

Tomorrow is Easter and it’s exceptionally important that everyone remembers who it is we need to praise and honor for our blessings. Let us not forget that we are dependent on God to live gloriously in this life. Today I will pray for my good fortunes and take a few moments to reflect on my life and my relationship with Him and others.

Here is another great passage: "Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; He also is to be feared above all gods" ( 1 Chron. 16:23-25).

Have a wonderful weekend!
